futureproof biography
futureproof consists of five units to create one whole. Dan Gatens on drums. Corey Gurkovich and Jim Neumann on guitars. Arrrrpan (monster) on bass. And Emanuel on vocals. Originally formed in the year 2000 under the name Broken Halo with three other members (and exluding Emanuel and Jim), the band began to blossom with the shedding of those three members and the addition of Emanuel as vocalist and guitarist. With Tool being the main listening choice o For two years, they played through two different identities, one being Stasis FX and then Synapsis, the addition of Jim Neumann on guitar in the year 2003, fed the flame of then changing musical standards and direction. Emanuel dropped guitar (a short time before hand) and stuck to singing. futureproof was born. After a long couple of months of reinforcing that direction, a new sound was developed and then captured as they went into record. An Early Evening in Kingston, a short disc containing two studio tracks, A Darkened Dream and Good Luck, two live studio cuts made for rehashing, a industrial song from guitarist Corey Gurkovich's side project Kinjiru, and finally two electronic tracks from singer Emanuel's side project The Anodyne was created. The band currently is prepping for re-entry into the studio to cut the two studio live songs for release, as well as up and coming live shows soon to be announced.
